Ugh... RE: AuditionThere are just a few hitches.
A) The part is called "Ensemble/small group"... oh yeah, I'm totally going to jump on that role.
B) The show is not going to have any dancing... it is going to involve "Creative Movement"... *barf*
C) It is directed by one of my most hated directors... the one who totally fucked me around during Anne of Green Gables.
D) It would cost me $380 to participate.
E) It would be performed on the weekend that I'm supposed to be in B.C.
So... those are 5 very big reasons why I turned down the role.
It's nice to know I was able to bullshit my performing resume enough to not be automatically slotted into the tech position without even a glance at my audition.
Maybe this up coming year I'll attempt to enter the amateur theatre (note: Free) productions that are around me. We do have a fair amount of them.
We'll see.
